You will enter the costs for your pellet stove in the section titled Home Energy Credits, under the Deductions & Credits heading.

After answering a few initial questions, you will enter your amount in the box for Energy Efficient Building Property.  You can also include in this total what you paid for the assembly and installation of this item, with a credit limit of $300.

Please keep in mind that energy credits are what we call non-refundable credits.  This means that they only serve to reduce the amount of tax you owe on you return.  If your tax due has already been reduced by all your other exemptions and deductions, then you will not see a change in your refund.
