I originally entered my self-employed dental insurance premiums along with my self-employed health insurance premiums as a deduction on line 29 of schedule 1, but the program only accepted my premiums for health insurance purchased through marketplace.

This is part of your business expenses for your business. You are right. The part of the insurance from the MarketPlace will not be entered here, only your dental. Follow these steps:

  • Federal
  • Income & Expenses
  • Edit your self-employment
  • Edit again
  • Scroll to Add expenses
  • Health Insurance. Only add your dental insurance premiums here.
