Question

Where do I input my non-taxable income from mileage that was reimbursed at the federal rate?

I get reimbursed for mileage and tracked exactly how much I've been reimbursed for but there's no where to put that, I only see options in vehicle deductions to input my mileage, but then it automatically requests gas receipts, oil change receipts. But I just want my mileage to be non-taxed.

if you are self-employed, who is reimbursing you? and if this is not the first year you used it for business what method did you use in the first year actual expenses or standard mileage?

as a self-employed individual, you do not reimburse yourself for mileage nor do you get a deduction.  what you get rather than a deduction for the reimbursement is a deduction using the standard mileage method. the cash you got should be treated like a withdrawal (non-deductible0 from the business.
