Where do I put my HSA contributions from myself through payroll deductions and my employer not listed on my W2?

I’m box 12a I have letter D and box 12b has letter DD. There is no letter W showing my HSA contributions. My employer and I both made contributions. There is an area that says to list my contributions if they are not contributions made through my employer. Where do I enter the ones made through payroll deductions?

To enter your contributions to an HSA - follow the steps below:

  • Go to Federal Taxes
  • Select Deductions & Credits
  • Select More Tax Breaks/See list of all tax breaks
  • Scroll down to "Medical" then "Show More"
  • Select "Start" next to HSA MSA Contributions
  • Follow the prompts to enter you contributions to your HSA Account
