Where do you find the amount of property tax you paid on your main home?

What if no property tax amount is on 1098

IF the mortgage company is paying your Property taxes and...If it is a relatively new Mortgage....they may not pay any until sometime in 2021.  Or, if your county/city allows it, sometimes a payment in Jan of the next year is allowed as a deadline..., and it doesn't always show up until the next year's forms.

 

But some people with mortgages are allowed to pay their property taxes on their own...then the amount is whatever You paid yourself during 2020...

 

Check with your Mortgage company...
