Where does the number for expenses for w2 income come from. I already input teacher expenses in a different area. This category I answer no to but they create the num??

it says don't enter teacher expenses for income from w-2. However is says union dues are in this category. But they only get input if you say yes and create a home office.

If you are a W-2 employee you cannot deduct job-related expenses on your federal return. Your state laws may be different.
