(PC) The solution was log out, and login again, and click INTUIT on the bottom left as soon as you login.

anything else and you are in a tax data entry mode.

-bold to assume that... but it is what it is.

Why are you looking for the Home tab?  Do you need to access a prior year return?  How to Access prior year online returns
https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/prior-year-return/help/how-do-i-access-my-prior-year-return/00/27010

If you can't get the side menus to open up to access the prior year..... You need to start entering some basic Personal Info in 2023 for the side menu to open up. Just continue a little ways into 2023. I had to go though about 12 screens.

If you used the Desktop CD/Download program then the only copy is on your computer and not saved or stored online. So you need to make and keep your own backups.

Or request a transcript from the IRS
https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

Or get a copy of your return using form 4506

I have a cd copy of tt.

when I logged in to find help, (forced to login),  I got redirected to a TT data entry questionaire.

I wanted to search help.

I posted the workaround.

Please clarify your question.

Unfortunately, we can't see your screen to see where you are, so I'll have to ask you a couple of questions.

  • Are you on Desktop, or Online?
  • If you do not want to enter information, what do you want to do?

Please contact us again with and provide some additional details.

Also, note: when searching google, (logged in to Intuit).  when I click an answer, I'm not recognized as logged in.

but when I clicked home (I think) then I got logged in.  inside the domain, tokens aren't recognized.

(bug?)  or feature?  lol.
