Where should I post shared payroll expense for a receptionist in our shared office?

psychotherapy office with 4 therapists.  receptionist works for all of us. payroll (w-2, etc handled outside) but costs divided up

I assume that you are talking about Schedule C?

 

Either add your portion of the payroll costs to "Wages" (for employees), or make a miscellaneous entry under Other Expenses.

 

No matter which one you do, the dollar result will be the same.
