Question

Why 1099-INT for a foreign account interest stays in Review needed state unlike other entries?

I am trying to report an interest from a foreign account as if I received a 1099-INT. Even after filling it still stays in Review needed status. Since it is a foreign bank, they do not have an FEIN. So I am leaving this field blank. Could that be the issue? The interest seems to be accounted in tax calculation. Should I be concerned?

No, this will not be an issue. The IRS does not require the EIN of the payer. And you will still be able to e-file even with the error.

Having an account abroad you might be subject to FBAR filing requirements, as well as Form 8938. Make sure that you read about it here
