Are you asking about Private health Insurance?

Health insurance premiums counts as medical expenses, the expenses that might be deductible is the amount that is OVER 7.5% of your adjusted gross income (AGI).

Your medical expenses plus your other itemized deductions ( Mortgage interest, property Tax, car registration...) have to exceed your standard deduction before you see a difference in your tax due or refund.

If the home you purchased is for personal use, you can deduct the property tax, mortgage interest and mortgage Insurance. Same with medical expenses, if the total of all deductions does not exceed the Standard Deduction, TurboTax will choose the standard deduction which is your best option.
