The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) isn't just for people with dependent children.

If you don’t have a qualifying child, to qualify for EITC:

  1. you must be between the ages 25 and 65 by the end of the year,
  2. live in the US for more than half a year,
  3. cannot be the dependent of someone one, and
  4. you must have earned income less than $13,460, $18,470 if married filing jointly.
