Why did my refund decrease after I reviewed and completed Earned Income Credit (EIC) part?

Answered "No" for each question and my refund went down significantly. Why?

What were the questions?

If you answered "No" to "Did you live in US for more than 6 months" you would have no longer been eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit.

Perhaps you should revisit that section.

Scroll down to Earned Income Credit under "You and Your Family"
