Why does it say I lived outside us in my eic??? I didn’t

If you haven't filed your return then please follow these steps to change the answer:

1. Login to your TurboTax Account 
2. Click on the Search box on the top and type “EIC”
3. Click on “Jump to EIC”
4. Continue until "Did you live in the U.S. for more than six months in 2020?" screen (this screen will only come up if your earned income qualifies you for the EIC) and correct your entry.

If you have already filed and your return has been accepted by the IRS, then you have to file an amended return (1040X) to make changes. But you might want to wait until your refund or payment is processed. Please be aware that you can e-file your 2020 amended federal tax return, but most states require amendments to be printed and filed by mail.
