We cannot see what you entered about your child, so we do not know why it is saying your child is not a dependent. You might have answered a question incorrectly. Sometimes it helps to delete the child and then re-enter them in MY INFO and go through the screens again for the child.
Make sure you have entered your child as a dependent in My Info, and that you have entered the child's Social Security number. Careful— do not say that your child’s SSN is not valid for employment. If your child was born in 2024 make sure you said he lived with you the whole year. There is an oddly worded question that asks if the child paid over half their own support.Say NO to that question.
And.....if this is about the child tax credit, remember that you do not get the child tax credit for a child older than 16. Once they are older than 16, you get the $500 credit for other dependents if you claim them.

When you add someone as a dependent, we'll ask a series of questions to make sure you can claim them. There may be other tax benefits you can get when you claim a dependent.
