Question

why does the IL state tax form keep kicking me back to review property taxes?I entered my paid tax and we only own 1 house?

    IL has a property credit that reduces your tax liability and requires your Property Index Number. Follow these steps:

    1. Return to the IL state return
    2. Go back to the property tax credit section
    3. On Property Information, make sure you have entered your county and Property Index Number for your personal residence. If you have no adjoining properties, the other 4 boxes should be blank.
    4. On the next page Property Taxes, make sure both boxes are blank.
