Why is turbotax giving me the home energy credit when I said "No" to contributing since I"m in HUD housing, but won't give me the child tax credit when I have a 10yo?
Everytime I select, "No, I didn't make improvements or have a carryforward." It changes it to Yes and is trying to give me the home energy credit, but says I don't qualify for the child tax credit, even though I have a 10yo child and earned more than $2,500 last year. What do I do?
