Why is Turbotax not showing the full $2,000 child and dependent care tax credit

You must mean the child tax credit.   Have you entered your W-2 or self-employment income?  You will not see the refundable additional child tax credit if you have not entered income from working.   Do you have a child younger than 17?   Does the child have a Social Security number?

Entered my income, two kids, less than $200k MAGI and yet turbotax is showing "Child and Other Dependent Tax Credits" down from $4,000 last year to $1,000 this year.

Ya same…wut up wit that??? I’m bringing home 4000 less this year same status but Less income. I would have assumed that was why at first but their father is getting back less then me and earned way more. Was there a lower child tax credit? Was there a weird change in the care prov. Expense?
