Working a normal hourly job for a typical company can i adjust my w-4 so that the IRS takes nothing throughout the year?

You can by upping your W-4 exemptions to, say 10; but then you may owe at the end.  You may also be hit with a penalty/interest for underpayment of estimated taxes.
