I have completed turbo tax including my 1098t for my online college that is in a different state.  When it runs smart check, it keeps giving ma an error that the zipped is not valid for my state?  What can I do?  Just ignore there error?

It won't let you e-file with that error.  Go back and edit the 1098-T - make sure you enter the correct 2-character state code and a zip code in that state.   And get out of the review to edit your form.   Search for 1098-T and use the Jump to 1098-T to be taken to the Education section.   Click through the pages until you come to the 1098-T entry screen.

Check the 2-letter state code for that zip code.   Make sure the city and state match up to the zip code.  This error happens when the state code doesn't match what is on file with the IRS.  TurboTax follows the IRS for acceptable zip codes.  If the state code does not match the correct state, you will get an e-filing error.   Correcting the state code is usually the fix.
