Ok I had tuition billed to me in 2018 but it was not paid until 2019 but I was not registered or taking classes at the time it was paid. It does not show up in my 2018 1098-t but the school does not have a 2019 1098-t for me. Shouldn’t the school have a 1098-t for 2019 since that’s is when I paid the 2018 fall tuition that was not on the previous 2018 1098-t form.

You can claim the education expenses without the 1098T. Go ahead through the Education Expenses area. You will mark that you did NOT receive a 1098-T but did have education expenses. Keep your paperwork proving the expenses with your tax folder in case of an audit.

Ok so I talked to me university and the reason I did not get a 1098-t for that tuition is because I had to retake a couple classes and had to drop one so that said I did not get education credit for that tuition. Can I still claim that tuition I paid in 2019 for the fall of 2018 in my 2019 taxes and how do I go about proof since I do not get a 1098-t.

Yes, you can claim the qualifying educational expenses you paid. You will need to keep your bursar records as proof of your tuition expenses.
