I'm doing my taxes and I paid for my son's college tuition. I cannot find where I enter the 1098-T information. It's "0" out and when I click on it, it says I've already enter it earlier, which I have not!

 

Kind of stuck right here.

    Yes, we can help with entering the education details. 

     

    If your son is not yet listed as a dependent in your tax return, go to MyInfo in the left menu and add him before returning to the Education Credits section.

     

    To get back to the Education credits screen, go to your search box and enter 1098t and select the Jump to link. The prompts that follow will allow you to add a student. For more details: Where do I enter Form 1098-T?

     

    If your income exceeds the limits for the available education credits, it is not necessary to enter these details. 

     

    Regarding the American Opportunity Tax Credit in 2020, your modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) cannot exceed $90,000 if filing as single or head of household, or $180,000 if filing jointly.
