I just received my 1098-T from my school. Box 5 exceeds box 1 by $1000 maybe. I didn’t work at all last year so I have no income to file nor will anyone be claiming me as a dependent. Do I really need to file any of this because without income and not being filed as a dependent, I wouldn’t even know how.

No.  $1000 of scholarship income is not enough to have to file a tax return, if that is your only income. Since you cannot be a dependent, the filing requirement is $12,950, for 2022.
