1098 T Box 10

My school included an amount in Box 10 on my 1098 T that I filed when I did my taxes. I just noticed the school corrected the 1098 T after I filed my taxes, with no amount in Box 10. I already contacted my school, and they said when they entered the amount in Box 10 it was a mistake. Box 10 states "insurance contract reimb/refund" and I never received a reimbursement or refund, hence the corrected 1098 T AFTER I filed the 1098 T with an amount in Box 10.  Should I file an amended return? I have no idea how my taxes and return were affected when I filed, and included the 1098 T with an amount in Box 10 for a refund I didn't receive.

Yes, you will want to amend your tax return.  Box 10 is used to calculate credits and credits can be reduced by the amount of reimbursements received.  Since, you did not receive any reimbursements, you will want to amend the return to make sure you receive the full credit you're allowed to claim.  Prior to amending your return, you will want to verify that your return has been processed and accepted.
