1098-T tuition

Can you deduct your tuition, even if you didn't take any course for that tax year 2020, including up to April of 2021? I also received a 1098-T, but it was for unpaid tuition from a pervious year.

    No, you can't if you paid for a previous year. 

    ONLY if it was paid in 2020 for classes that started in 2020 or the first three months of 2021.
