Filing on behalf of my son.  He received a 1098-T and box 6 "Adjustments to scholarships or grants for a prior year" was filled in with an amount of about $350.  He was not in school in 2019 or 2020.  Do I need to file an amended return from a prior year?  Or is there  somewhere on this years return to file this ?

I assume you mean that there was additional scholarship income reported for a previous year. If so, you would have to know which year it applied to and then look to see if it affected that year's tax return.

Scholarship income could reduce the amount of qualified education expenses that were used in a previous year to obtain an education credit. If so, you should amend the return for that year to reflect the change.

If there was no education credit that was affected, you need to see if the scholarship income was or should have been reported as income and also amend if necessary. A dependent tax filer has a $12,400 standard deduction, so it is somewhat rare to see taxable scholarship income, but it can happen.

Q.  Do I need to file an amended return from a prior year?  Or is there  somewhere on this years return to file this?

A. Simple answer: if you don't know what it's for, forgetaboutit.

The 1098-T is only an informational document. The numbers on it are not required to be entered onto your tax return.  You claim the tuition credit, or report scholarship income, based on your own financial records, not the 1098-T.
