2018 Education pwyments.

We are having to Amend our 2018 return. We didn't have access to the 2018 1098-T so the 1040 submittal was wrong. When trying to Amend the submitted 1040 document, it will not let me update the Payment paid to the University. So, do i create a new 2018 return and attach the related Amendment form?

If you filed your tax return using TurboTax, you can amend your return but will need to download the software to do that. Please see the link below for instructions.

How to amend a 2018 tax return

If you did not file your tax return in TurboTax, you can still prepare the amendment but you will need to purchase the software to prepare the amended return.
