A friend and I put in half of the amount each in Lending for a mortgage. Now raising 1098 to borrower. How to represent two lender TIN numbers in 1098?

You cannot list two Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs) on a single Form 1098 Mortgage Interest Statement.

 

Each Form 1098 has room for only one lender and lender ITIN.

 

You will have to prepare a separate Form 1098 for each lender showing the amount of interest the borrower paid to each one.

Thank you ToddL99. This really helps. For some odd reason IRS insists on getting the 1098 form from them by snail mail. They say the first page printed in red must not be photocopied.  I will order additional forms now.
