I was paying taxes as a NonResident till last year. From this year, I qualify to pay taxes as resident according to example 1 on the IRS page(https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/alien-residency-examples) and sprintax.

Since I am able to file as a resident, Can I use details from 1098-T  in form 8863 to claim education credits?

If you are a resident alien for tax purposes, you are eligible for the education credits.

You can enter your form 1098-T to claim education credits.
