On my 2022 Tax Return I answered NO to the question "Has the American opportunity credit been claimed for this student for any 4 prior tax years?"(line 23) and I did claim the American opportunity credit on my 2020 tax return. Do I need to amend my return? Will I get fined for this? What happens now?
