Hi, what happens if I take longer than 4 years to finish my degree, but I also have too many credits? If I already have 120 credits (usually what it takes to graduate), but I'm still in school and haven't finished my Bachelors, can I still take the American Opportunity Credit if I haven't claimed it 4 times?

As long as you have not received any Bachelor's degree and you (or your parents if you were claimed as a dependent) have not claimed the American Opportunity Credit (and/or the Hope Scholarship) for four years and you meet the other requirements, you can claim the American Opportunity Credit regardless of the credit hours you have.
