I graduated in 2019 with BS. I am currently in school now (started 2022) getting a BA. Do I choose Yes or No for the Four years of College Credit?

*Adding this for more context*

Back in school started Fall 2022 will graduate this Fall 2025. I chose No on the Earned Four years of College before (2022, 2023) because I never claimed it before and I thought it had to do with me being claimed as a dependent years prior (also it only took me 3 years to graduate). I just want to make sure I doing it right before the IRS comes knocking on my door.

You have completed more than 4 years of post-secondary education and you can no longer claim the AOTC. You may be eligible for the LLC.

Please read this IRS document for more information.

    Q. Do I choose Yes or No for the Four years of College Credit? Having previously received a BS means you have completed 4 years of college credit and are no longer eligible for the AOC.

    A. Choose yes.

    Q. I never claimed it before and I thought it had to do with me being claimed as a dependent years prior (also it only took me 3 years to graduate).  Does any of that change the answer to the 4 year question?

    A. No.

    Q. AOC or LLC credit?

    A. You are eligible for the LLC, but not the AOC.
