Are certified Pre-K teachers working for an accredited school district in the the state of TEXAS able to deduct out-of-pocket expenses for their classroom materials?

No. Only teachers in kindergarten through grade 12 are eligible for a federal income adjustment. I don’t know if Texas has a different rule.

TX has no state income tax.

 

The federal deduction is for K-12 teachers.
