Question

As part of 1098T, my daughter spent a semester studying abroad. Does that count as going to another school in 2019?

It depends.

 

If she was on a program which is provided by her state school, then no, you can say she was at the school as reported on your 1098-T form.

 

If you received two 1098-T forms showing different school names, then you would add the information according to your 1098-T forms into the program to reflect both schools.
