Question

Box 10 on my 1098 form has a number in it, but Turbo Tax did not ask me for the amount in the box. Am I supposed to put this amount somewhere?

It depends on what the amount in box 10 is for. The instructions for completing Form 1098 box 10 say:

"The interest recipient may use this box to give you other information, such as real estate taxes or insurance paid from escrow."

If the amount in box 10 has a description indicating that it is for real estate property taxes, you can include it in "Property Taxes" section of TurboTax. If you itemize deductions instead of using the standard deduction, these property taxes will be included in the calculation of itemized deductions.
