If you are a parent and meet the requirements to claim your child as a dependent, you can use the child's Form 1098-T to claim an education tax break on your own tax return.

I tried to add my daughter 1098t form but it has my name as a student instead of her

If you enter the wrong student, you'll have to delete all the info and start over. Go through the entire education interview until you reach a screen titled "Your Education Expenses Summary".  Click delete next to the student's name.  You'll then get the "Your Education Expenses Summary" screen again.  Click the "Add a student" button.

Your daughter must have been previously entered as your dependent, in the personal info section.

Yes.  The tuition credit (or deduction) "goes with" the student's dependency.  If you claim the student as a dependent, then you (not the student) claim the tuition credit, on your tax return.  This means entering the 1098-T, on your return, in TurboTax.

If the student has taxable scholarship (typically box 5 of the 1098-T is more than box 1), the scholarship income is reported on his return.

Sometimes, it's necessary to enter the 1098-T on both the parent and student returns.

There's even a loop hole available for the parent to claim the credit, if the student is on scholarship. For details, see: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/college-education/discussion/yes-that-is-a-tax-loophole-available-but-you-can-not/01/715052#M19895
