The 2020 school year was online. I had to used a pdf scanner app to submit my work. I do not have a scanner or any other device (besides my phone) that would scan my school work. The phone I was using broke and I had to get a new one to continue submitting my work in a pdf format. The professor wanted the class work in a pdf format and recommended us to use a scanner app. Can I claim the phone I purchased as an educational expense?
