Can I claim myself as supporting myself if parent refuses to claim me as a full time college student?

It depends. Only one taxpayer is allowed to claim a dependent such as you as a child and/or student, under the age of 24. However if you are considered independent then your parents would not be allowed to claim you as a dependent. It's not a choice between you.

Key Factor: If you have provided more than half of your own support then you are allowed to file independently. And you do not have to indicate a parent is claiming you as a dependent.
