Can i claim payments i made on my daughter`s student loan, that i`m co-signer on? because she lost her job, and i`m still paying them. Yes or No

Yes.  If you are the cosigner you are legally liable for the loan, and are making the payments, then you can claim the student loan interest for your daughters student loan.

You can claim the interest deduction, if you meet the three requirements:

  1. You paid the interest
  2. You are legally obligated to pay it (co-signing counts)
  3. The student was your dependent, at the time the loan was used to pay for qualified educational expenses
