Can I deduct Disneyland tickets as a working lighting design student?

I am a lighting design student also currently working in this field. I constantly discuss what I see with classmates as well as teachers. I use the trips to inform my designs as I have the goal of working in the parks as a lighting designer and have been applying. I am referring to a payment installment on an annual pass that began in august of 2021.

If you are self-employed in the lighting field, then you may be able to deduct the cost of the annual pass, but it would be a stretch for the IRS to accept that expense as a deduction if your return were audited.  You would need some specific documentation to show how that cost contributed to your business income.  Just saying that you get ideas from your park visits would not be enough.

As a current student working a job where you are an employee instead of self-employed, there is no possible avenue for deducting the cost of the annual pass.
