If your full-time college student daughter was under the age of 24 in 2017, then you do not have to worry about the earning limit of $4050 for 2017--it is OK if she had more income than $4050.  You can still claim her as a dependent and use the education credit on your own tax return.  She can file her own return, but must say that she can be claimed as a dependent on someone else's return.
