Can I deduct my internet charges for school expenses since I go to an online university?

You can deduct student loan interest, but if the interest is not directly related to a student loan, then no.

you can probably deduct your internet charges IF the charge is solely used for school.  If you are using it for personal use, then you'd have to figure out out to separate out the percentage use for personal vs. school - probably not worth it. 

 

@CatinaT1 - the question was 'internet", not 'interest'
