Can I file for a deductions in education expenses if I am a foreigner?

I paid tuition in the year of 2020 but my school does not issue 1098-T for me because I am a foreigner - can I still file for deductions in education expenses?

Before you go any farther---- are you a non-resident alien?  If so, you cannot use TurboTax.  Please see the link for sprintax to see if you should actually be using sprintax instead.

 

NON RESIDENT ALIEN  

If you are a non-resident alien, your return must be filed on Form 1040NR, which cannot be prepared using TurboTax.  You can use TT’s partner, sprintax:
