Can I still contribute to kids 529 Plan and be applied to last years taxes?

Maybe, most states have a deadline of December 31, 2021. There are six states with deadlines in April: Georgia, Iowa, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Wisconsin. All of these deadlines are April 15 except for Iowa which is April 30.

There is no federal deduction for making a contribution to a 529 plan. Some states allow a deduction on the state return.
