Question

Can my mom still claim me as a dependent?

I moved away in August and I saw in several posts that I'd be able to be claimed since I lived with her for more than half the year but not at the same time because I made more than $4050.

I tried asking her whether I should mark myself as claimable but she says to either wait for her to file or go to a tax filer and ask them.

I'm not a full time student or anything. I'm living on my own now and have been since I left.

I made monthly payments to keep my room in her house as a form of rent ever since I turned 18, I'm 19 now. (400 monthly)

She says I should mark myself to be claimed.

What should I do?

As you are now 19 and not a full-time student, you mom can't claim you as her dependent unless she provided more than half of your support in 2023 and you had income of less than $4,700 in 2023.
