Indiana allows a credit up to $100 ( $200 MFJ) for money or property donated to an Indiana college or university.  You would file a Schedule CC-40 if you qualify.

Please follow these steps in TurboTax desktop edition,

  • Open your tax file.
  • Across the top, select State Taxes,
  • On the screen, Your state Returns, under Indiana, select Edit
  • Continue with on-screen interview questions,
  • On the screen, Here's the income that Indiana handles differently, select Done with Income and Deductions
  • Follow prompts.  On the screen Take a look at Indiana credits and taxes
  • Under Education /  Indiana College Credit select Start
