For the life of me I cannot get TurboTax to get through this one part. I have tried uploading my 1098-T form directly from my computer as well as manually entering the information (no copy or pasting) but after I click "Continue" the page would always go back to say I need to fill out the information, specifically to enter my university's EIN. I have tried entering the number on the same page as the rest of my 1098-T info as well as saying "I can't find it" and then entering later in the "Federal Review" section but both times the page would spazz out and anything I click directs me to a 404-like error page. Send help.

The Employer Identification Number (EIN), also known as the Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) or the Federal Tax Identification Number, is a unique nine-digit number assigned by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to business entities operating in the United States for the purposes of identification.

An EIN is usually written in the form 00-0000000.

If it is still rejected you may want to contact the school that issued you the 1098-T; their phone number should be listed on the form.
