Question

Do I need to include 1098-T form even if I didn't go to school in 2020?

If you paid in 2020 for classes that began within the first months of 2021, the amount paid COULD be used for a deduction or credit.

If you received a refund or scholarships in 2020 which was not applied to tuition and fees, that amount may be taxable income for the student.

If you did not attend school, what is reported on the 1098-T?
