Question

Do scholarships or grants on a 1098-T Box 5 need to be entered in this later screen? This amount was not requested when entering the 1098-T data.

On the 1098-T entry screen, there is a place to enter the Box 5 amounts, and yes, you should report those on your tax return.  Type 1098-T into the search bar and go through the interview and include the Box 5 amounts if you have not done so already.    

 

When you get to the Education Summary Page, you can click on Edit next to the name of the school to edit these amounts.  Answer YES to the Did you receive a 1098-T? question.
