Does a college student living in a dorm count as living with their parents for the whole year?

Form says "did (college student) live with you for the whole year? Time spent away at school counts." Does that mean the college student is considered living with their parents when they're away at school?

Yes, if the student normally lives with parents.

 

Time spent away at school counts as Temporary absences.

If the child would normally be living in the parent's home but for being away for education then you would answer that they lived in the home for the whole year.
