I would like to have a boot camp and wondering if I can use the money I will pay toward my tax.

Based on the university, they won’t provide any form except the payment receipts. With that being said , do I can use them as tax deductible?

fyi, I will be having the boot camp to advance my career.

thank you!

Yes, you can deduct the expenses if the education meets at least one of the following two tests:

  • It maintains or improves skills required in your present work.
  • It is required by your employer or the law to keep your salary, status, or job, and the requirement serves a business purpose of your employer.

You might qualify for the the lifetime learning credit.

The lifetime learning credit (LLC) is for qualified tuition and related expenses paid for eligible students enrolled in an eligible educational institution. This credit can help pay for undergraduate, graduate and professional degree courses — including courses to acquire or improve job skills.
